"In a world where faces are getting harder to read,
wear your heart on your ear"
This project is centred around an earring that can be worn as a visualisation of one's heart rate, acting as an honest display of attraction. The piece is the result of a group project, and seeks to create a fun narrative around dating, and was coined the 'arousal earring'.
The earring concept is centred around wearable biosensors, particularly small scale pulse sensors reading the wearer's heart rate from their temple. The final circuit contains an Arduino and a small vibration motor and an LED. The earring buzzes according to different heart rate zones.
